‘My colleagues are exhausted’: Paramedics cry for help
The death of NSW Paramedic, Steven Tougher, has revealed the need for better laws to protect our frontline workers.
NSW Health Minister, Ryan Park, has told Ray Hadley, “We will look at every possible measure, including increasing penalties.”
A young paramedic has written to Ben Fordham overnight, saying that many of her colleagues “refused” to work in Sydney’s south west over the weekend.
“We were too scared…We don’t feel protected…One of our colleagues is dead,” she wrote.
“If we don’t improve their working conditions, they’ll check out,” said Ben.
A Go-Fund-Me campaign has now raised more than $415,000 for Steven Tougher, and you can donate here.
