Michael McLaren has commended comments from Noel Pearson, who called for the states and territories to stay out of Indigenous affairs.

The 2GB and 4BC Afternoons host says there is a need for a genuine reassessment of the states’ power.

“It seems that the Commonwealth has learnt that the various state pipers will eventually play whatever request is asked of them so long as the bloke with all the money throws enough coins into the busker’s hat,” he said.
