Multiple people have been shot at Pearl Harbor.

Witnesses say the shooter was wearing a Naval uniform when he opened fire, before turning the weapon on themselves.

Three people are dead, including the gunman.

Local media are reporting there are no civilian casualties.

The shooting happened in a shipyard across the harbour from the Pearl Harbor National Memorial.

Saturday will mark the 78th anniversary of the infamous attack on the US Naval base by Japan that led the Americans joining World War II.
