An internationally multi-award-winning musical capturing lives in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 has returned to the stage to celebrate the end of lockdown.

Come From Away is based on the stories of passengers who were left stranded after the 9/11 terrorist attack closed the airspace over the US.

The cast managed to perform before Sydney was plunged into a three-month-long lockdown.

Actress Emma Powell told Deborah Knight they had a full house at the Capitol Theatre this week, based on current capacity restrictions.

“You could just feel the audience were so pleased to be back in the room.”
