A motorcyclist has survived a collision with a car on the Great Western Highway at Glenbrook, despite his bike bursting into flames.

NSW Ambulance have confirmed the man in his 60s escaped with only minor injures, and did not require hospital transport.

The accident has closed two of three eastbound lanes. All westbound lanes have now reopened.

Traffic is backed up to Blaxland.
