A mother and two of her children have been killed in a horrific crash on the Central Coast.

Just before 10 o’clock last night a 4WD, driven by a woman, with her five children on board, crashed down an embankment at Wisemans Ferry Road in Central Mangrove.

The 32-year-old woman and two children, aged six and 10, died at the scene.

The other children, understood to be three boys under the age of 10, were airlifted to John Hunter Hospital where they remain in a stable condition.

Investigators are also looking into whether one of the children were hit by a passing car shortly after the crash.

The driver has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
