The state’s Education Minister Prue Car has ensured that school’s will be supported as a mobile phone ban comes into force.

From the first day of term 4, all mobile phones will be locked away and returned to students at the end of classes.

“We’ll work with the school on what the best way is to make sure that those lockers are purchased,” she said on 2GB Drive.

“If that’s the only way that they’ll be able to get that done then we’ll have to make that happen.”
