UPDATE

An 11-year-old girl who went missing from Sylvania Heights this morning has been found safe and well.

Jacinta Laverance was reported missing around 7:30am by her parents who last saw her at 11pm yesterday.

Her disappearance was described as out of character.

Police from the Sutherland Police Area Command, Dog Unit and PolAir were involved in a lengthy search but have now successfully located her.

She was found just before 1pm about a kilometre away from her home in Sylvania Heights at a nearby reserve.

She doesn’t require medical attention.
