NSW Customer Services Minister Victor Dominello is encouraging Sydneysiders to shop around for their fuel.

The state government’s Fuel-Check app tells you where the cheapest petrol near you is.

It has now had 1.8 million downloads in NSW.

Mr Dominello told Ben Fordham people who regularly use the app could save over $500 a year.
