The NSW Minerals Council is taking the government to task after a major coal project was refused.

The multi-million-dollar Bylong Valley coal mine was knocked back by an independent planning panel because of environmental concerns.

South Korea company KEPCO’s mine near Mudgee was deemed to be at risk of producing problematic greenhouse gas emissions.

The mining industry has launched an ad against the decision and the government’s handling of planning in the state.

NSW Shooters, Fishers, Farmers’ Robert Borsak tells Steve Price the government isn’t doing itself any favours.

“NSW is now not only closed for business but it’s also a major major sovereign risk.

“Who is going to invest in NSW?”
