New crime statistics have revealed shocking figures, with youth crime reportedly down overall compared to 15 years ago.

Executive director of the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research, Jackie Fitzgerald, says rates might not seem like it, but crime is down 30 per cent

“It is the case that young people these days are less and less inclined to get involved in crime than they were a generation ago,” she told Bill Woods, filling in for Michael McLaren.
