NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller has reacted to the news four-year-old Cleo Smith has been found alive.

Police found the girl in a room of a locked house in Carnarvon, two weeks after she went missing.

Mr Fuller told Ben Fordham he just got off the phone with WA Police Commissioner Chris Dawson.

“When he got the call this morning he broke down and cried. That speaks volumes.

“I thought the chances of finding her alive were so slim.

“He said to me, ‘West Australian Police never gave up on Cleo’. It was good old fashion police work that resulted in her being found alive.”
