Michael McLaren warns infrastructure is failing to keep up with housing growth
In over 100 days, Australians will be asked to complete a census, providing politicians in Canberra with a snapshot of Australia’s population, growth and needs.
2GB Afternoons host Michael McLaren says the government are focusing on housing growth without investing in schools, parks and infrastructure needed to support Sydney’s expanding suburbs.
“I’m left wondering if anyone in power actually reads anything the census brings to life,” he said.
“To most citizens, an area devoid of parks, libraries, community hubs and requisite on-street parking doesn’t feel like a normal suburb.”
