Michael McLaren has joined other Australians in remembering those who fought for Australia as he notes the day provides important lessons.

He says the current climate with conflicts in other parts of the world shows the world is “facing an arc of autocracy”.

He also hits out at those who claim the day glorifies conflict and those who chose not to reflect on the events of various wars Australia and others have been involved in.
