Zara Borcak had one of the most remarkable and memorable days of her life on Saturday, with the young fan receiving Sam Kerr’s jersey after that huge shootout victory against France.

The nine-year-old, a budding striker herself, was overjoyed with the selfless act from the Matildas captain, and spoke glowingly of her idol Kerr.

Zara already has another dream interaction in her mind with Kerr, wanting to walk out with the skipper against England in Sydney.

“I want to get her signature signed on this jersey and I want to go walk out with her in Sydney”, she told Deb Knight.
