Nigerian-born Australian singer-songwriter and multi-platinum-selling performer Tim Omaji, will play Tina Turner’s ex-husband in the Tina Turner Musical.

Also known as “Timomatic”, he told Deborah Knight he is extremely grateful for the opportunity to showcase his talents as Ike Turner.

Tim told Deb he has had to take a variety of different musical lessons to play the role of the ex-husband.

“Just getting the physicality of him… I’ve been in my own BootCamp!”

‘Tina’ is set to premiere at the Theatre Royal Sydney this May.
