Fortunato Foti is the man behind Sydney’s much-anticipated New Year’s Eve fireworks display.

The fireworks master has been involved in organising magnificent pyrotechnic displays since he was 15.

His family has been involved in the industry for seven generations, and now he’s got his own kids involved.

“When I did my first New Year’s Eve, my eldest daughter was three-years-old, my middle one was three-months-old and my son wasn’t born,” he tells Warren Moore.

“Now, all three of them are working on the show.”

Eight and a half tonnes of fireworks will feature in tonight’s display where the theme is ‘The Pulse of Sydney’.

Mr Foti tells Warren what spectators can expect.
