Local resident Alana Wilson joined Chris O’Keefe to share her extraordinary story on how she got the government to allocate $15m to fix a dangerous intersection in Londonderry.

After having a car accident on the corner of Londonderry back in 2019, Alana started a petition and had hundreds of people sign to have the dangerous intersection fixed.

“I got 571 supporters in the first 24 hours of my petition.”

She told Chris how she reached out to politicians bashing down their doors and $15 million has been allocated to fix the intersection of Londonderry road and the drift way.

“It’s great for the community – for safety.”

This story was originally reported in the Western Weekender by Emily Feszczuk.
