Meet Quentin: The service dog who assists veterans with PTSD

Integra Service Dogs works with veterans and first responders who suffer from PTSD, by enriching their lives with labrador assistance dogs.

Richard Lord from Integra Service Dogs brought a female golden retriever, Quentin Bryce (named after the former Governor-General) to meet Deborah Knight.

“These dogs provide a lot of confidence for veterans. It’s just one way of helping them through their day,” Richard told Deborah.

“There are cues, tapping of the foot, and also the smell of fear that helps the dogs know when someone needs assistance,” he said.
