There are only two female Transport Commanders in NSW as the industry is highly male-dominated.

The commanders respond to incidents and other issues on the road and help manage traffic to minimise danger and disruption to drivers.

Sally told Deborah Knight that it can be a “challenging environment” but it’s a really interesting job.

“The other female commander and I have really stepped up to the challenge and love the work we do.”
