A medical expert says boosters should be brought forward despite ATAGI insisting the timeline won’t be changed.

Recently, the immunisation advisory body shortened the gap between the second and third dose to five months.

Medical Journal of Australia Editor Professor Nick Talley told Chris Smith the booster timeline should be brought forward.

“I’m very disappointed that the decision has been made to leave it at five months in this situation.”
