A local mayor is taking on Chemist Warehouse over their bright yellow shopfront in Sydney’s north-west.

Mayor of Hornsby Philip Ruddock is up in arms over the Pennant Hills Chemist Warehouse, which he says is ruining the aesthetic of the high street.

He’s threatening to plant trees around the shop to block the view of the controversial paintwork.

But Chris Smith says Mr Ruddock should leave the local chemist alone.

“Come on, Philip, you’ve shown so much common sense in public life, maybe something’s gone wrong here.

“Get off their back, let them do what they want.”
