A colossal tree has fallen in Annandale rupturing a gas line and bringing power lines down. Miraculously no one has been injured.

The incident occurred on Young Street, near Collins Street.

Adam Dewberry, Superintendent from NSW Fire & Rescue described the tree as a “fair chunk of timber” and confirmed around 20 homes have been evacuated.

“It’s a miracle in itself we’ve got no injuries,” said Mr Dewberry
