Environment Minister Gabrielle Upton has done it again this morning, with yet another fumble on the Return and Earn scheme.

This morning, Minister Upton released a statement saying over 100 million drink containers had been returned for refunds since the scheme started last year.

The problem is, the Return and Earn website claims only 98 million containers have been returned too far.

“She’s gone off before acceptances,” Mark Levy says.

“It’s quite clear she can’t get anything right with this scheme, or this scam, whatever you want to call it.

“Minister, maths isn’t your strong point. You’ve gone off early. I certainly hope someone if your office gets a kick up the backside.”
