Mark Levy has described the decision by the US Supreme Court to overturn the constitutional right to an abortion as reprehensible.

The historic and far-reaching decision has been met with outrage and protests in American cities, and attracted attention across the globe.

Mark, filling in for Ray Hadley, praised former first lady Michelle Obama’s powerful words in the wake of the decision, where she said she was heartbroken.

“Heartbroken for people around this country who have lost the right to make informed decisions about their own bodies,” she wrote.

“I am heartbroken we now may be destined to learn the painful lessons of a time before Roe was made law of the land.”

Mark says he finds it unbelievable and reprehensible.

“I personally think it’s a disgraceful decision and it’s no surprise to see the angry response from the people across the United States even here in Australia.”
