NSW One Nation leader Mark Latham is backing the police commissioner amid concerns over police strip search powers.

There are concerns over police strip-searching young children at music festivals.

But New South Wales Police Commissioner Mick Fuller is warning if police powers were to be relaxed crime would increase.

Mr Latham tells Ben Fordham the searches target people involved in the drug culture.

“If you’re doing the right thing I don’t know anyone in New South Wales who’s been subject to this police procedure.

“And if it’s locking up really, really, bad people then I think we need to back the commissioner.”
