Veteran sports journalist Mark Beretta confirms he is stepping away from Channel Seven’s Sunrise after an incredible 22-year tenure.

Beretta cites the recent loss of his father to cancer and his mother’s ongoing fight against the disease as the primary reason for his decision, stating that “Family time has become even more important”.
