Man rushed to hospital after being charged by a bull
An elderly man has been rushed to Port Macquarie Hospital after being charged by a bull on a rural property.
The man in his 60s was treated for head and shoulder injuries.
Josh Smyth, NSW Ambulance Inspector, told Jim Wilson it is a rare scenario for paramedics.
“It is pretty rare to get called to a job with a bull or other livestock involved,” he said.
“Thankfully he wasn’t seriously injured, it could’ve been a lot worse.
“He wasn’t riding it … he was just handling the bull, putting it from one place to another when it hit him and knocked him over.
“He was a bit shaken up but he was fine having a chat to paramedics when they arrived on scene, that is a great sign to us that he is going to be okay.”
