Man charged over rape of six-year-old boy
A man has been arrested and charged after allegedly having sex with a six-year-old boy, who is known to him.
Earlier this month detectives launched an investigation after receiving reports a young boy had been sexually abused.
Officers from the Child Abuse Squad pounced yesterday, arresting a 33-year-old man at Marayong, in Sydney’s west.
He’s accused of having sexual intercourse with the six-year-old, who police say is “known to him”.
The man has been charged and refused bail to appear in Blacktown Local Court today.
It comes after another man was arrested in the Hunter Valley last Thursday for allegedly sexually abusing a five-year-old girl known to him.
The 45-year-old man is facing multiple extremely serious charges, including carrying out a sexual act with a child, intentionally inciting a child to do a sexual act to them and intentionally sexually touching a child.
He has been refused bail to appear in court today.
