Man charged after officer stabbed
A man has been charged after allegedly stabbing a police officer in Sydney’s north-west last month.
Just before 9am on August 21 officers were on Culloden Road near Waterloo Road, Marsfield when they approached a man walking in the middle of the road.
When the officers tried to guide him off the road the 24-year-old man allegedly stabbed a male constable in the arm with a knife.
The officers used a taser to restrain him and the officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The man has been charged with assaulting an officer in the execution of duty and has been refused bail.
He will face Burwood Local Court today.
