Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command commenced investigations after reports a man had been looking into the windows of a number of homes.

They were again alerted yesterday when a man was allegedly seen in the front yard of another home in the area around 8am.

Police were patrolling Maroubra Road at Maroubra when they saw a cyclist allegedly matching the description provided by homeowners.

The 66-year-old man was arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station,  where he was charged with a number of offences, including two counts of enter enclosed land without lawful excuse, and one count each of peep or pry.

He was refused bail and is due to appear before the court today.
