Man arrested over murder of disabled father back in March
A man has been arrested and charged over the murder of a disabled father in Sydney’s west, back in March.
Just before 10pm on March 9, three men allegedly stormed inside a home at Dharruk.
They allegedly threatened Erol Tokcan before stabbing him in the chest while his terrified girlfriend watched on.
Mr Tokcan was rushed to hospital but couldn’t be saved. His alleged attackers have been on the run ever since.
A fortnight ago police renewed their appeal for information, saying Mr Tokcan was a “gentle man and a threat to no one”.
The 38-year-old had a brain injury and had become a father just months before he was murdered.
Detectives made a breakthrough on Wednesday, arresting a 23-year-old man at a home in Whalan.
He’s been charged with murder and refused bail to face court today.
