A man and woman have allegedly been attacked by a group armed with a metal pole, a knife and strangely… a walking crutch.

Just before 6pm, the 28-year-old man parked his car at a friend’s unit block on Woodward Road at Miller in Sydney’s south-west.

As he got out of the vehicle he was allegedly set upon by a group of men, suffering leg, chest and neck injuries.

His female friend ran to a nearby shopping centre to get help but was chased by a woman armed with the crutch and allegedly attacked, suffering minor injuries.

The man was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment and also had his car windscreen smashed with a piece of timber.

Police are investigating and urger anyone with information to call Crime Stopper on 1800 333 000.
