The festive season is stressful, particularly when cooking at home.

It turns out more and more of us are outsourcing a lot of basic Christmas tasks, from wrapping, decorating and even Christmas lunch.

Nicolas Mercier, Director of Food and Beverage at Sydney’s Sofitel at Darling Harbour is urging families to “leave the stress with us”.

He joins Deborah Knight, armed with champagne and cake, to talk more about this growing trend of going out for Christmas.

“Increasingly families are choosing to do that.

“The festive menu is all linked with some French heritage as Sofitel is part of a French brand.”
