McGrath Real Estate has announced three new directors this afternoon in a bid to rebuild the company.

Kerry Stokes’ former chief financial officer, Peter Lewis, will take the helm as chairman and Paul Hogan’s former lawyer, Andrew Robinson, will become non-executive director.

The company’s founder, John McGrath, will also take on a role as director.

Louis Christopher from SQM Research joins Ross Greenwood to discuss the changes.

“I think what John McGrath did was step back from the business prior and that didn’t work out.

“He’ll try to be more active…and basically drive up the motivation and the excitement to win back some market share.

“He’s realised some of the mistakes made and I think he’ll try and run the company into a dynamic company once again.”
