Major shake-up coming for NSW primary students
The state’s curriculum will be overhauled with a renewed focus on grammar and punctuation.
Under the draft plan, Year 4 students will be expected to recall their two, four, five and 10 times tables.
Long division will become optional for students who have got through “core topics”.
NSW One Nation leader Mark Latham told Ben Fordham a recommendation to scrap ‘gender fluidity’ classes was rejected.
“It’s way out of line with what most parents would expect.”
