Local legends sending valuable aid to flood-ravaged northern NSW

Sydneysiders have banded together to help northern NSW communities devastated by the floods.

Across the state, more than 5000 homes have been damaged and about 2800 destroyed.

The Wandering Women’s Walking Group’s Adriarne Reynolds told Ben Fordham they sent a truck full of supplies to flood-damaged Lismore.

“We had 50 women working constantly through the five days … packing it all up.”

Sydneysider Paul Diaz helped organise a thousand boxes of supplies for the Northern Rivers, while the Street Side Medics are sending a van to help act as a portable GP hub.

Baxter Boots is donating 500 pairs of waterproof boots to flood-impacted communities.
