Local Aussie heroes Bill and Karyn Borg OAM have been recognised in the Australia Day Honours for their work in their community.

The two are being honoured for devoting their lives to the St Clair Junior Rugby League Club.

Karyn has been involved as the team manager since 1986 and Bill joined as club secretary in 1989.

Rugby league champion Steve Turner called in with a special surprise for Bill and Karyn!
