Local Ron Graham has described his heroic efforts to perform multiple rescues in his tinnie yesterday due to the floods in Lismore.

As the situation started to worsen, Ron and his son together rescued more than 50 people.

He told Jim Wilson, “The worst thing I’ve ever seen or had to deal with”.

Understandably emotional Ron said: “When the adrenaline is running… you just do it”.

“Our house has pretty much lost everything as well.”
