There is a cloud surrounding Lidia Thorpe’s political future as more details emerge from her relationship with an ex-bikie boss.

The Greens Senator failed to disclose a relationship with a former president of an outlaw motorcycle gang while sitting on a parliamentary law enforcement committee.

During her time on the committee, she repeatedly questioned the Home Affairs boss about the status of a suspected member of the Rebels bikie gang who was facing deportation.

9News political reporter Charles Croucher told Ben Fordham there’s a push for an investigation into Senator Thorpe’s actions.

“That perceived conflict of interest that is there for everyone to see makes this so difficult.”
