Liberal Senator Hollie Hughes has joined calls for Lidia Thorpe to resign from Parliament. 

Ms Thorpe was been forced to resign as deputy leader of the Greens in the Senate after it was revealed she dated Dean Martin, the former president of an outlaw motorcycle gang, while sitting on a parliamentary law enforcement committee.

Senator Hughes told Mark Levy “this is two resignations short”.

“The Greens seem to be too scared to take any substantial action against her.

“We know Adam Bandt doesn’t have the backbone to stand up to her.”
