Liberal Senator Jane Hume has conceded the Liberal Party needs to do some “soul-searching” after the massive election defeat.

The Coalition won 77 seats in the 2019 election but can only bank on 54 of those remaining.

Ms Hume told Ben Fordham “We need a strong and successful Liberal voice to really come forward.”

“Liberal values are very much Australia’s values, and I don’t think that Australia understands that anymore.”
