LG drops David Warner amid ball tampering scandal

Major sponsors of Cricket Australia have spoken out vigorously against what has taken place.

Electronics company LG has announced it will not renew its sponsorship of Warner in light of the ball tampering confession.

LG says it will work with ambassadors that share its core brand values.

Ross speaks with Andrew Baxter, former chairman and CEO Publicis Communications, one of Australia’s largest advertising companies.

“The issue David Warner’s got is brands are a little bit like people. People will forgive them once. It’s the second and third time you struggle to forgive them as a brand.

“I think David Warner is in a bit of strife with this one.”
