Legendary comedian is bringing back some Aussie classics

Article image for Legendary comedian is bringing back some Aussie classics

Do you remember wearing a stackhat when you rode your bike to the local corner store?

Did your parents own a dolphin torch or two?

The classic Aussie items from your childhood are coming back.

Australia’s well-known comedian Tim ‘Rosso’ Ross is trading laughs for design and is bringing back some of your treasured memories in his new exhibition.

Rosso tells Ben Fordham why he’s reliving the good old days in his Design Nation exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum.

“When I was a kid, a lot of things we had in our house were not only designed in Australia but made in Australia… and we’ve forgotten how to make things here.

“We’re quite happy to say goodbye to manufacturing in this country and I think it’s really sad.”

You can catch the Design Nation exhibition from today until December 11 at the Powerhouse Museum.
