A series of leaked documents reveal more Sydney trains are running late than ever before, due to the latest timetable change.

Last month, trains were either skipping stations or running behind schedule on a whopping 79% of services.

The leaked data shows during peak hour at Central Station, on-time targets were only met on four out of 28 days in June.

It’s the worst performance since the new timetable was introduced in September.

Shadow Minister for Transport Jodi McKay tells Chris Kenny the biggest issue is the delays.

“We’re not opposed to a new timetable, what we want is a timetable that actually works, this timetable doesn’t.

“People depend on a train turning up and depend on that train getting them to where they want to go n time.
