Labor has been caught out lying once again with Sports Minister Anika Wells claiming she hadn’t missed Parliament to attend sporting events.

Shadow Minister for Sports, Arts and Youth Angie Bell has sensationally ripped into her Labor counterpart telling Lucy Zelić it’s on public record that Ms Wells attended the FIFA World Cup in 2022 while Parliament was sitting.

“The fish does rot from the head down and the Prime Minister … pre-approved this trip,” she said on 2GB Sydney Now.
