Labor maintains lead in first election poll but Scott Morrison more popular

Article image for Labor maintains lead in first election poll but Scott Morrison more popular

The Prime Minister maintains Labor’s tax bill would hit almost $400 billion over the next 10 years.

Scott Morrison argues the Opposition’s policies would hurt all Australians in the long-term.

The latest opinion poll shows Labor retains a four-point lead after preferences.

Mr Morrison tells Alan Jones, if the Opposition wins government, the country will go backwards.

“This is fundamentally what this election is about. If you can’t manage money, you can’t run the country.

“That’s why we see deficits go up, that’s why we’ll see debt go up again under Labor, because they just can’t manage money.

“And if you can’t manage money, you can’t manage a health system, a school system, or any of these things.”
