Labor leader denies being ‘caught out’ using hospitals for publicity
The Opposition leader denies spending more time filming social media videos inside hospital emergency departments than speaking with staff.
Chris Minns was inside one hospital for less than a minute in July, as he attacked the government over nurse staffing levels.
Mr Minns told Ben Fordham while he needed to see the hospital crisis first-hand, he wanted to avoid disrupting the work of staff on duty.
“If there was no one waiting at the emergency triage station I always went up [to thank staff].”
But Ben says,”I think you’ve been caught out here, Chris”.
