Labor dual citizens refuse to quit

Labor MP David Feeney could be forced to re-contest his seat at a by-election, after telling the High Court he can’t find his citizenship papers.

He and Labor Senator Katy Gallagher have been unable to prove they revoked their British citizenships before the 2016 Federal election.

Steve Price speaks with Liberal Member for Hughes Craig Kelly about the situation.

“Poor old Mr Feeney said the dog may have eaten his documents.

“Bill Shorten promised everyone last year that every Labor member was correct, every member was covered, the Labor party had their paperwork perfectly right.

“Now he’s found out he was completely wrong and here we poor old David Feeney looks like he’ll be forced to a by-election.

“The tragedy is it I think the Greens are going to win that seat.”

Mr Kelly also spoke with Steve about Australia’s rising energy needs and the country’s ability to meet demand.
