Newcastle Knights Head of Football Danny Buderus said today means so much to the club and fans after the re-signing of Kalyn Ponga.

The Newcastle Knights announced the re-signing of superstar fullback Kalyn Ponga on a five-year deal worth north of $5 million ending the Dolphins’ pursuit of their marquee man today.

The deal will commence in 2023 and put to bed months of speculation.

Mr Buderus told Mark Levy and Brad Fittler the process was unique.

“He is a unique player, and the contract had to represent that.”
